Giving bone marrow

Most people have heard of blood donation, but bone marrow donation is just as important.

By giving a sample of saliva, you can be added to the register. Your sample with be analysed and kept on file so that if a matching patient is found, you can be asked to donate some of your stem cells to that person.

More men (because they produce more stem cells then women) are needed to join the register, so come on guys - sign up!

Typical patients will be suffering from blood cancers such as leukaemia or have had chemotherapy which has destroyed their blood cells.

Please consider joining the register. It is important to note though, the process of testing & registering your sample costs around £100 so please be serious when you register.
